  See Mark Pereira research published in “CAZABON – AN ILLUSTRATED BIOGRAPHY”, 1986 page 31: Exhibition catalogues of the Salon du Louvre, Musee Royal, Paris, an annual juried exhibition: 1846, catalogue No. 329, Cazabon exhibited a painting “Plage de Luques (Calvados), and in 1847 he showed catalogue No. 290 “Plage de Calvados”. It must be noted that according to the catalogue, neither work was for sale. This shows there was no financial need for a sale, but in addition, in 1843 Cazabon had married Louise Rosalie Trolard , of a small village Vire, very close to the Calvados and Luques beach. As this oil was sourced in France, it is safe to deduce that the work was gifted to his in laws, the Trolard family, and so not for sale at the Salon du Louvre Exhibition.
