This diptych acrylic seascape is inspired by the sprawling coconut estates of a Trinidad’s East Coast. As you drive along the road, the scroll of endless coconut trees are silhouetted against the wild Atlantic behind it . Imagine the brisk sea breeze that’s a constant in this area and the thousands of coconut trees thar appear as bars against the sky. These coconut estates are basically on a very large sand bar of sorts which divides the natural catchment area of the Nariva wetlands from the ocean. The artists has used creative liberties to capture those aspects into this imagined scene .
